Planning a wedding can be stressful, even more so if you are having your wedding in Spain. Read our advice and tips to manage your wedding day budget.
Make up a spreadsheet which will help with the control of costs.
Next stage is to plan out all the necessary requirements for your wedding, namely, where, when and what time!!!!
Once you have narrowed down your options of wedding venues Spain and the menus available using your spreadsheet, you can then see how each venue comes out on your overall budget.
REMEMBER THE MAIN COST IS THE ACTUAL BANQUET!!!
Your budget can be changed dramtically by amending the cost per person of your chosen menu.
Have a think about the types of flowers you can use, seasonal flowers will always be more cost effective. I have seen bouquets look fabulous made up with simple gerberas which are very cost effective.
Shop around for hair and make-up, many do offer good packages. If your bridesmaids and perhaps the mums are having things done also, then agree discounts.
Photography and videography
Once again shop around for a wedding photographer and wedding video, the price differences are amazing, and quite often the finished product does not reflect this huge difference.
Your Wedding Gown
Does it have to be designer, and mega expensive?……. I shall leave that one up to you.
Always bear in mind where your venue will be in relation to where the ceremony will be held. Do you need to provide transport? This could be a major cost depending on the distance.
Wherever possible try to have the venue include printing of menus, the chair covers, the table linen, the table plan, the centre floral decoation per table, and the toast!
Try and keep the invitations to a manageable amount of people. A wedding is most enjoyable with people you love to be around, around you on the day !!!!
Book early!
The early bird catches the worm, and so it is true of wedding venues and churches. The earlier you book, the wider the range you have available to you.
The Wedding Planner
